Cutting with Hot Wire and Oscillation
With hot wire cutting plants with oscillation the electrically heated wires additionally oscillate while they are moved through the EPS block.
The EPS beads are melted on and thus cut. A higher cutting speed and an even better surface quality of the cut EPS sheets are achieved by the additional oscillation of the wires.
With hot wire cutting plants with oscillation the EPS block in succession is transferred through 3 stations (sheet cutting station, trimming and cross-cutting station) and cut into sheets in this process.
When all stations are passed at the end of the plant the finished sheets arrive. From here the sheet stacks are compiled and packed in conformity with the market requirements.
This cutting technology is particularly suitable when higher throughput capacities and lower dimension tolerances for the cut sheets are required.
Optimisation Possibilities
In principle the cutting plant can additionally be equipped with block magazine, block tilter and waste removal ensuring an almost continuous cutting process.
The positioning of the wires in the single cutting stations is done manually, however, optionally it can also be done automatically via remote wire adjustment.
